What is the order process?
1. Submit Your Specifications
Tell us about your project dimensions, wood species, finish, and hardware preferences by completing this online form. After receiving your project details, our team will review to ensure accuracy and compatibility. If we have any questions, we’ll reach out.
2. You Receive Your Quote
Get a detailed quote within one business day, including pricing and lead time.
3. Place Your Order
Confirm your specifications and provide an approval. Once your order moves into production, each component is custom built to your specifications. After your project is completed, all items are carefully inspected, packaged, and prepared for shipment. Most orders will ship within 7-10 business days. Rush options are available. 4. We Ship Your Project
Your custom items are handcrafted, quality-checked using our 24-point process, and delivered. At the time of your shipment, we’ll send your invoice and shipping details, including carrier and tracking information. Shipping costs are pre-paid and added to your invoice. Shipping times are typically between 1-3 business days.
What if I need to change an order I already placed?
Our team begins work immediately after quote approval, and your order may or may not be eligible for changes.
- Some changes may be possible, but fees may apply.
- Some orders cannot be changed once production has begun.
- Custom items cannot be cancelled under any circumstances.
Change or cancellation fees can be up to 50% of the product price, depending on the stage of production and incurred costs. If you need to request a change, please contact us as soon as possible to determine available options. Call at (800) 643-1158 or email at sales@witmerwoodproducts.com.

What ready-to-install options and popular customizations do we offer?
These options are available in addition to assembly and finish:
- Notching & Boring – Machining for undermount slides, available in 1(3/8)”, 2″, and 5″ per OEM specification
- Locking Device Installation – Pre-installed hardware–drawers arrive fully assembled and ready to install
- Custom Branding – Laser engraving for a personalized touch
- Dividers & Inserts – Custom-built for specialized storage solutions (e.g., cutlery insert, knife block, removable and fixed dividers)
- Scoops – Hand-cut drawer scoops for roll-out drawers, standard and custom options available
- JUST ASK! – Custom is our default. Bring us your spec, your sketch, or just your challenge, and we’ll make it real.
What does “Labeling” mean?
To make installation easier on your job site, each drawer can arrive with a project-specific label placed on the rear of the drawer, hidden from view after installation. Each label may include:
- Company Name
- Order Number
- Project Name
- PO Number
- Drawer Dimensions
This information will help your team quickly identify where each drawer belongs during installation.
What is the finishing process?
After sanding all surfaces, we apply a furniture-grade sealer to protect the wood and enhance durability. We then scuff-sand by hand and add a durable lacquer finish with water-based or pre-catalyzed options available.

What locking devices do we offer?
Undermount locking devices attach and secure the drawer to the undermount slides. We stock Blum, Salice, Grass, and Hettich and include these options on our online order form here. If you need a different brand, please let us know when submitting your order.

Please note that slides ship alongside your product but are not pre-installed to protect the drawers during shipping.

How do you ship, and how are the products packaged?
Our goal is to make sure your order arrives safely, on time, and in the most efficient way possible.
Every order is carefully packaged to minimize movement and help prevent damage during transit. Depending on the size and scope of the order, shipments may be sent via parcel or pallet freight using the best method for timing, protection, and cost. If you have a preferred carrier or would like to use your own freight account, we’re happy to accommodate.

Residential Deliveries
When a freight shipment is delivered to a residence, special equipment or services may be required. These additional services are determined by the carrier and are the customer’s responsibility. Examples include:
- Liftgate service
- Special residential freight trucks
Additionally, if a residential customer is not available for a scheduled delivery, any charges related to rescheduling must be paid by the customer.
What hardware options do we offer?
We offer a variety of hardware options to complement your drawer system, including:
- File drawer hardware
- Metal canisters for utility drawers
- Garbage cans for trash pull-out systems
- Front locking devices
- Undermount and side-mount slides
Additional hardware options may be available based on your project requirements.
